Perfect for students and aspiring writers alike, this presentation uses popular movies and techniques screen play writers employ to help add punch and interest to novels and short stories.

 

Story Boarding Your Novel 60 minutes in length

Amy will take writers through the steps she takes to get from an idea to a fully plotted story. An interactive presentation that will have audiences brainstorming a novel with Amy in real time. 

***This presentation is easily adapted to a half or full day workshop. In this case, writers would be required to bring their current work in progress or come prepared to develop a new idea. Writers will leave with a fully developed plot for their novel.

Participants will help Amy create a cast of characters for a novel during this very fun, interactive presentation.

Amy leads an in-depth discussion on the research she did for Smash & Grab as well as the inspirational music, pictures, and movies that influenced the plot.

The Writer's Club: Perfecting the YA Voice 60 minutes in length 

This presentation deals with specifics on how to write authentic teens for Young Adult novels and breaks down what voice is utilizing clips from John Hughes films.
